The LED display circuit board is generally composed of a lamp board and a driver board. The lamp drive is one, that is, the LED lamp and the driver IC are all on one PCB board. The IC is on the front of the PCB and the copper strip is omitted. The advantage is that there is no inductance effect and no screen is used. The disadvantage is maintenance trouble.
The separation of the lamp driver is that the LED is on an independent PCB board, the driver IC is on another PCB board, and the two PCB boards use the method of signal connection between the row header and the row mother to achieve normal operation.
The general use of lamp separation is due to the following reasons:
1: The LED screen uses a plug-in LED. The LED lamp pins affect the normal placement of the rear driver IC. Therefore, the lamp driver separation method is used.
2: LED screen spacing is too small, in the electronic design affects the PCB board traces, the use of lamp driver separation can increase the PCB board wiring area.
3: Conducive to heat dissipation without affecting the display effect of the LED. If the lamp drive is used in a combined manner, when the LED lamp density is high (that is, when the LED screen dot pitch is small), the heat of the driving IC will be Very high, at this time the heat of the driver IC will directly affect the LED of the IC directly to the IC, so that the color of the LED lamp changes. This will not happen with lamp drive separation.
Comparison of lamp drive and lamp drive separation:
1, from the cost point of view: the cost of the light drive is slightly lower.
2, from the maintenance point of view: the lamp drive is easy to maintain, because he can replace each other to detect, there are lights to separate the lights together, it is easy to change lights.
3, from the heat point of view, the lamp drive is more conducive to heat dissipation.
